IOT Digital Output Module 8 Point
Overview:
The INC, LLC. Digital I/O module has eight digital output points. The user can configure each of the outputs as a high side driver or as a push pull. Each output can further be configured to act as a low side driver depending on how the output is wired. Output points are protected from over temperature, over current, short circuit, and can detect open loads. Each output is current limited to minimum 640mA (870mA typical) and is capable of 500mA continuous per output. In high side mode output current can be doubled by safely pairing the outputs in parallel by a software setting. There is a hardware watchdog timer that can turn off all outputs if there is a microprocessor or hardware problem. Each output has a bicolor led to indicate its' on/off state and fault status. The device is built around the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52840. The nRF52840 supports common IOT wireless PAN protocols. The module can be programmed using NFC or other wireless protocols. The module is available in three different enclosures, economical black ABS plastic, Nema 4 aluminum alloy, or Nema 4X polycarbonate. All versions are potted to help protect against vibration, shock, and foreign matter as well as further heat dissipation. The module is available with or without an external antenna (note the antenna is required for the aluminum case). The IO connector is available as a DB-26(HD) or as a 14 pin latch connector for easy connection to Phoenix Contact PLC relay system. All of the modules can also be DIN rail mounted using inexpensive mounts.
